Maybe — that number alone does not decide. About 300 ng/dL is a commonly cited cutoff in Endocrine Society and AUA discussions of low total testosterone, but it must be a reliable morning value, usually repeated, and interpreted with symptoms.
A single 300 drawn at 4 p.m. after a sleepless night is not the same as two 7 a.m. results of 300 with low libido and no reversible cause. Free testosterone and SHBG can also move a 300 from “treat” to “watch.”
Repeat a morning total T, review medications and sleep, and talk through symptoms with a clinician. Do not start a neighbor’s leftover cypionate because the printout said 298 versus 305.
